4Com Announce Acquisition of Midshire Business Systems (Communications) Ltd

4Com, the Bournemouth-based provider of leading business telephone systems to UK SMEs has announced the successful purchase of Midlands-based Midshire Business Systems (Communications) Ltd (Midshire Telecom hereafter), the first such acquisition in 4Com’s 23-year history.

Midshire Telecom was established in 2002, and the brand will continue to operate as part of the 4Com Group of companies as Gary Scutt, 4Com’s CEO, explains, “We’re delighted to welcome Midshire Telecom and particularly their staff and customers to the 4Com family. They have an excellent, well-earnt reputation in the industry, and we’re looking forward to getting to know their team and continuing our rapid growth with them on board.”

4Com’s Chief Operating Officer, Dean Cartledge, who will now become Midshire Telecom’s CEO, added, “We see a great deal of opportunity thanks to this acquisition. Midshire Telecom have additional expertise in fields such as Managed IT Services and Office WiFi solutions, which we’re excited to be able to offer to our existing customers, while also introducing our own solutions to their customer base.”

The acquisition, which was completed on 16th May, will see Midshire Telecom’s staff transfer to 4Com. Gary continued, “We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into creating a great workplace culture, and we’re looking forward to extending that to the Midshire Telecom team and making them truly feel like a part of our team.”
